This week Konami announced Wii Fitness and Namco debuted Active Life: Athletic World, both aiming to get the family together for some wholesome, calorie-burning fun. News:TGS 2007: Mario & Sonic at the Olympics Hands-on
IGN has some Mario and Sonic TGS hands-on and here is some of it: "Because I was in Japan for the Tokyo Game Show this week, SEGA offered an invite to come down to its studio to check out Mario & Sonic at the Olympics as it reportedly will not be at the company's booth during the TGS event. So that's where I went this week. As a huge fan of the classic Track & Field game design, I walked away from the short gameplay demonstration impressed. Even if the developers refuse to explain how a fat plumber is on equal footing in a race with a hedgehog that can break the speed of sound." You can read the rest of this from IGN above.

TGS News:TGS 2007: Welcome to Tokyo
IGN has some more TGS news and here is some of it: "After an 11-hour plane ride, the IGN team has assembled in Tokyo to bring you coverage from this year's Tokyo Game Show.
It's surprising how clean and efficient everything is in Japan. It's just as rare to see a gum wrapper on the sidewalk as it is to see a late train (it just doesn't happen, people). You know, it's the little difference that make Japan feel so strange -- the fish for breakfast, the panties in the vending machines, the no elephants signs, the squat toilets... Imagine a bathroom, only without an actual toilet bowl. There's running water, but basically it's just a big flush-hole in the ground that you have to hit in a semi-standing position with your pants around your ankles as you balance precariously over a trough of sewage. It's kind of like camping indoors. They're not everywhere, but they are at the airport, train stations, convention center, and enough other places to make you wonder who thought that would be a good idea." You can read the rest of this from IGN above.
IGN has some TGS news and here is some of it: "Konami has announced its lineup for the 2007 Tokyo Game Show, and it seems the company has something in store for every current-generation game platform, including Wii and DS." You can read the rest of this from IGN above.

News:Square Enix TGS Lineup
IGN has some Square Enix news and here is some of it: "Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show lineup, announced today in Tokyo, is full of surprises, both good and bad. It turns out, for instance, that Dragon Quest IX will be shown, although in video form only. Also surprising is the video-only showing of The Last Remnant. That game appeared to be far enough along at the Square Enix Party earlier this year that we were expecting a playable debut." You can read the rest of this from IGN above.
